What is OBODO?
Obodo: Barter, Buy and Sell is a Dubai-based exchange marketplace powered by artificial intelligence that brings together the convenience of buying and selling, auction bartering, and the option to participate using both money and products. By leveraging AI technology, Obodo matches users with other products for trade based on their owner’s barter preferences, creating a seamless and efficient trading experience.
Who is the owner of Obodo?
Obodo FZ LLC, registered under Dubai Development Authority, is a technology-startup that has revolutionized the way goods and services are traded through its online barter platform, Obodo: Barter, Buy and Sell.
Can you trade anything on Obodo?
You can trade almost anything on Obodo from vehicles, electronics, fashion items, kid’s products, furniture, household goods, sports goods to even real estate. However, pets and any items considered illegal are prohibited for trade!
How does Obodo work?
Sellers can easily list an item for sale or barter and buyers can directly contact sellers to arrange the transaction. When two people each have items the other wants, both parties can list the items and determine the values of the items and provide the amount that results in an optimal allocation of resources. The seller and buyer can then barter their items with each other and a small % increase or decrease can be paid individually at the time of exchange.
To list your on Obodo
- Sign in with your phone number or email after launching the app.
- Click the blue plus sign (from Home, Search or Profile page) to take or upload pictures. Make sure your images are properly centered and are of good quality.
- Click Next; In the New Post page, fill in the following information
- Enter the title of your product, e.g. “Summer dress/ Designer evening gown”
- Include a description, such as “New/Used Dress in great condition…”
- Enter your Meeting Spot. By default, the Meeting Spot is your location, but you can change it to where you would like to meet the buyer.
- Enter the Price of your listing.
- Select the category that best suits your item, (Fashion & Cosmetics -> Women’s Fashion -> Clothes -> Dresses.)
- Alternatively, you can barter (swap) your dress as well by selecting a barter category that best describes what you would like in exchange, followed by a brief description. (OPTIONAL)
- Indicate whether you offer delivery.
- Click Post and wait for Approval and that’s it!
- Enter the title of your product, e.g. “Summer dress/ Designer evening gown”
How much does it cost to put an ad on Obodo?
Each user can publish unlimited free ads in all categories which remain live for 90 days across all categories such as vehicles, electronics, fashion items, kid’s products, furniture, household goods, sports goods to even real estate. At the end of 90 days the ad can be renewed and it will be listed once more.
Is it safe to buy from Obodo?
If it sounds too good to be true, it’s probably a scam. Most scammers will list their items (usually valuable and desired products) at a below market value.
Tell tell signs include but are not limited to requesting you to make online payments before you receive your product or refusal to meet in public places to exchange items.

What items are prohibited on Obodo?
Activities that are prohibited on Obodo App include but are not limited to Posting content that,
- is false, misleading or inaccurate;
- victimize, harass, degrade, discriminate against, or intimidate an individual or group of individuals on the basis of religion, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, age, or disability;
- infringe on any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, right of publicity, right to privacy or other proprietary right of another;
- promote or encourage any type of criminal or illegal activity, including but not limited to, child pornography or the use of illicit drugs;
- involve pornography, sexually explicit material or sexually oriented services;

Can I sell used items?
Yes, definitely you can sell or buy used items through OBODO. Sell unwanted items that is no longer in use for you and let a buyer get that item for a great price!
How do I buy from Obodo?
When you like a product and if you wish to buy that item, send a deal message and once the deal is accepted by seller then simply start a chat with seller inside OBODO app, you can also ask for contact number and ask for location. Remember all the products listed inside OBODO are inside UAE. You can also search for your products using Google map within the application.
Can I get a refund on Obodo?
OBODO is not involved in any transactions between users. Obodo is a classified that allows users to list items for barter and/or sell connecting users to perform deals between themselves.
Agreeing to accept a return is at the discretion of the seller. It is your responsibility to ensure the item is in acceptable condition (as listed), authentic, or otherwise to your satisfaction before transacting.
How can we contact sellers on Obodo?
Obodo enables users to send chat messages by swiping left on products or by visiting other users’ profiles. To access contact details, users must either engage in a barter deal with the other user, or the user must choose to make their phone number visible at their discretion.
